چکیده

Titanium-Niobium (Ti-Nb) based alloys are predominantly used as an implant material within the Bio-medical field due to their unique characteristics such non-toxicity, better Osseo-integration, high resistance corrosion, strength weight quantitative relation and biocompatibility. This paper proposes optimize control parameters for multi-response optimization of Ti-6Al-7Nb bio-medical alloy Grey Relational Analysis combined with Taguchi approach. Wear rate (WR), coefficient friction (COF), frictional force were response studied (FF). The methodology is in conjunction grey interpersonal evaluation a performance index determine best set parameters. Applied Load, Rotational Speed, Time evaluated. Experimentations designed using L9 Taguchi's orthogonal array carried out on pin-on-disc setup agreement by ASTM G99. experimental outcomes display that applied load has greatest impact alloy's various wear characteristics. approach been successfully rummage-sale recover alloy.

The effects of a SiO2 coating on the corrosion parameters cpTi and Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy

The aim of this paper was to evaluate the usefulness of the sol-gel method application, to modificate the surface of the Ti6Al7Nb alloy and the cpTi titanium (Grade 4) with SiO2 oxide, applied on the vascular implants to improve their hemocompatibility. Mechanical treatment was followed by film deposition on surface of the titanium samples. An appropriate selection of the process parameters was...

Mechanical properties and microstructural evolution of vacuum hot-pressed titanium and Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy.

Hot-pressing is a powder metallurgy process where loose powder is loaded into a mould, usually of graphite, and sintered by the simultaneous application of high temperature and pressure. In this study elemental titanium and Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy powders are hot-pressed under different conditions in order to study the influence of the processing parameters on the microstructure and mechanical propert...

Bonding properties of heat-polymerized denture base resin to Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear bonding strength and leakage of heat-polymerized denture base resin to titanium-aluminum-niobium (Ti-6Al-7Nb) and cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) castings using four adhesive systems; three adhesive primers (Metal Primer II, Metal Link, MR. Bond) and one heat-polymerized adhesive resin containing 4-META (Metadent). The resin tab was heat-polymerized d...

Microstructure and mechanical behaviour of the isothermally forged Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy

The mechanical properties of the Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy, used to manufacture high-strength prostheses, are highly dependent on its microstructure. This work presents the microstructural changes of this alloy under isothermal hot working. It is shown that microstructure is strongly affected by strain rate, temperature and strain. The possible precipitation of intermetallic phases is also evaluated. To...

Multi-objective process optimization for micro-end milling of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy

Micro-end milling is one of the promising methods for rapid fabrication of features with 3D complex shapes. However, controlling the micro-end milling process to obtain the desired results is much harder compared to that of macro-end milling due to the size effect and uncontrollable factors. The problem is much pronounced when workpiece material is a difficult-to-process material such as titani...
